Membership of the library is open to all. It serves three types of members.

  • Life Member
    • Membership fee is Rs. 1000
    • Facilities: A life member can get two books / audio cassettes / CDs and one magazine / video cassette / CD at a time and should return the same within 2 weeks. The member will not be expected to pay deposit for any of the information services.
  • Annual member:
    • Membership fee is Rs.320
    • Registration Fee: Rs.20
    • Deposit: Rs.150
    • Annual Fee: Rs.150
  • Quarterly Member:
    • Membership fee is Rs.215
    • Registration Fee: Rs.20
    • Deposit: Rs.150
    • Quarterly Fee: Rs.45

Working Hours (Mumbai - Bhayander): Monday to Saturday: 10.00 A.M. - 6.00 P.M.
Sundays and Public Holidays Closed

Guidelines to Members/Visitors:

  • Smoking is Strictly Prohibited.
  • Silence should be maintained in the Library.
  • Tea, Coffee, and Eatables are not allowed in the Library reading places.
  • Members can be issued either two books/booklets/VCDs /DVDs for 15 days.
  • Users can also access library services at Mumbai branch.
  • Each prospective member shall give in writing an undertaking to abide by the rules of the library.
  • If the books are not returned on the due dates, an overdue charge Re. 1 per book per day will be charged for the period the books are kept beyond the due date. The librarian shall have the power to remit or reduce such overdue charges.
  • In case any book is lost or damaged by the member, the member shall replace the book or shall pay the cost of replacement. If a book is one of the volumes of a set, the reader may be asked to replace the whole set.
  • Reference books, rare books, unbound periodicals and books on fine arts may not be generally issued, except with the written permission of the librarian.
  • The books may be renewed if the same are not in demand or are not reserved by other readers.
  • If a member does not pay off the library dues, the privilege of borrowing books may be suspended till he deposits the requisite amount.
  • The librarian shall have the power to refuse the issue of a book to any member or to recall any book without assigning any reason or he may grant special permission to any person to use the library.
