The initial screening of the applicants will be done on the basis of age, qualification and previous experience. A four-day orientation cum selection process will be organized at the SIRDs or at Partner institutions. The candidates will be assessed on:

- Training Facilitation (actual execution of training)
- Soft Skills

The candidates will have option to choose more than one thematic area. These functionaries need to be trained on all aspects related to rural development, basic services, and functioning of local governments.
