Why Apply?

  • Fellows will have the opportunity to contribute directly to India’s policy ecosystem by producing issue briefs, white papers, and actionable recommendations—work that becomes part of RMP’s growing Policy Research Bank. This allows researchers to build a strong portfolio of policy-oriented outputs valued by government bodies and think tanks.
  • They will also engage in applied research projects in collaboration with government departments, public institutions, and various agencies. This hands-on experience gives fellows exposure to real-world governance challenges and offers them a chance to influence public policy through evidence-based insights.
  • By developing rigorous analysis on socio-economic issues, governance models, and legislative frameworks, fellows strengthen their academic and professional credibility while contributing meaningfully to national discourse. Additionally, they will play a role in mentoring junior fellows and RMP cadres, enhancing their leadership, teaching, and research management skills.
  • Overall, the programme equips fellows with direct policy engagement, high-impact research opportunities, and a platform for national visibility—ideal for individuals aspiring to build influential careers in public policy, governance, and academia.
